So I was looking for both a media centre PC keyboard and PS3 keyboard to use in the living room and I stumbled upon the following: Logitech Mediaboard Pro PS3 And just wanted to let you guys know about it as maybe one of you is looking for one as well.. while most bluetooth keyboards are very pricey this one goes for 40 euro's and has a touchpad included so you dont need to find your mouse each time. The great thing here is it's fully compatible with the PS3 and the PC which makes it a great solution for my home media centre (both ps3 and pc connected to my big screen) and it even has media quick buttons for both platforms to quicly access movies/music and such.. plus bluetooth has a much better range then RF or IR. And it has the playstation buttons on it as well how cool is that? Here you can find a review: http://www.legitreviews.com/article/687/1/ There is also the Logitech Dinovo mini, which is alot smaller and looks great but the price is crazy (140) Anyway have fun with it.
We've got these keyboards at work, and they are indeed very nice. I just haven't been able to justify the $50 for a used one let alone $70 for a new one.
The only thing justifing it for me is the reason that I am sooo fed up with the lousy working wireless keyboards/mouses that use RF and wanted more distance so I automatically ended up with bluetooth.. but damnnn what the hell is up with those prices? I am not going to pay more then 50 bucks for a keyboard and most bluetooth keyboard range from 120 up to 250!! with some occassional cheap ones poping up lately but without garantee that they will work for the ps3 let alone extra special buttons for it. So seeing that this one is the cheapest bluetooth keyboard I found until now that is compatible with both the ps3 and pc has justified the price for me allthough I do think and ask myself why the hell this bluetooth "old" technology that is being used in cheaper stuff has to be soooo expensive in keyboard land?
That's actually quite cool. I've not been actively looking for a PS3 keyboard, but I'd probably go with that over the official one that attaches to Dual Shock.
The keyboard does look horrible though, why can't they make a proper keyboard with proper keys and not the flat horrible laptop like keys.
Here they only sell it in one shop (dynabyte) and several online shops, i went to dynabyte yesterday but they were sold out the same day and they are awaiting a new delivery but date unknown, so i'll buy one online today and let you guys know what my experiance is. I did see one on ebay btw but those shipping prices kill the deal for me, but maybe somebody living in the UK can grab one for less.
