Hiya. I know little about networking, is there a way I can directly connect a PS3 DECR 1000A dev unit to a laptop via the DEV LAN port? I need to be able to access the dev settings this way. I can do it by plugging both the laptop and dev unit into a switch, which it then plugged into the router, it works fine that way. Basically I'd like to connect it while not using the internet, even if this involves plugging the 2 into another device, that's fine, as long as it's not the router I'm using right now to go online. Any help would be great, thank you for your time.
You can connect directly to it, however your laptop network card needs to be on the 192.168.0 subnet if memory serves me right
