((( I am aware that there is another topic on this, but the Variety story wasn't exactly "official", also I'd like for this topic to center around how this could affect the game market this year. I'm new, so if this isn't allowed please don't hurt me. ;-) ))) http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3148763 Officially official delay until this Winter in Japan. Not only was this a last minute delay and very public secret, but it could have a bad effect on the gaming market. Atleast in my opinion. What will happen now to the PS3 games that were slated for release this Christmas season? I doubt publishers will want to put more money into the games than originally planned and putting them on hold to allow Sony to finish up will do just that. Will more games be downgraded to work on the PS2, with the Xbox 360 receiving more "Next Gen but Not Quite" games like it has been (Gun, Madden 06, etc)? There isn't much of a chance of some of these games being released on the Revolution. I hope the system has atleast the same amount of third party support that the Gamecube did, but it isnt promised. Thoughts?

Ah. I had forgotten all about the press release tonight. We'll definitely know something by tomorrow morning.
