PS3 Downgrade pups

Hey guys, once again here for more PS3 info (mostly Q&A related) as for this question i am wondering if there is a way to convert development downgrade pups to retail lv2diag pup because i thought it would be possible to use it if we sign it in some way.

Because you don't have the private key for the new update packages and the new application selfs.
Good luck factorizing the new ecdsa priv....

The fail is fixed - you won't be able to calculate private keys again.

 

Well it is "possible" if you have a few trillion years and super computers to spend xD

Firmware on the NOR/NAND is bound to the console via CBE's own privateand console specific key, at least some parts are which are not updateable (meta loader, bootloader etc.). If you put a blank chip in you will not be able to take these loaders with you and get stuck with an expensive brick. Still you can try to puzzle older fw parts to the chip with a flasher if you feel happy, but it's doubtfull this will work proper for most peopel with the specific knowledge on ps3 firmware.
