PS3 Jailbreak Legit?

I have a ps3 with a dead bluray drive and figured this would alow me to add more software to the hdd.

Its fake. The only way to downgrade is with a hardware flasher.

 

What version do I need to be on? 3.55?

I have never heard of this method before, I tought that CFW was out of the question on the newer PS3´s.
Since you needed to be on 3.55, and newer models is "born" with 3.60 or higher, and therefore isnt downgradable to 3.55.
Do you have a tutorial or a video I could see how it´s done in practice?

I have used this guide and downgraded a couple of PS3´s myself from time to time.
But I have never heard or can find any confirmation, that you are able to "jailbreak" a CECH-3000 PS3 or above that model.
