Guys - when I'm playing Resistance of Man (US game) on my Jap PS3 I get connected to the Jap servers....do you know anyway to connect to US servers? Looked out system settings and game settings with no luck.....I'm guessing that the game detects the region of the PS3 and just connects to the hardware's region, not he game region... Only potentially plus points are: 1. It maybe game dependent on whether you get US/EMEA/Jap servers. It would seem logical for a game to get your region from your Sony log in, but for Resistance of Man it def doesn't. (For a game server to get your Sony/network login, would it need to be bridge to the Sony server or is that volatile context info in your PS3 when u log in?....If the latter then it should be easy for it to work out your true region). 2. The Jap servers for Resistance of Man are still quite playable, just that u may be at a disadvantage...:-( Either that or I'm crap at Resistance of Man.....;-) I'm blaming the ping time in the meantime....lol.
