I got a ps3 test recently and I can browse the internet and everything works fine but I just can NOT connect to psn, my vita and retail can both connect fine though. I've reset it, up/downgraded the firmware and still noting. It doesn't even try to connect though, it just automatically pops up with the error code. All the debug setting are allowing internet and what not, is there some command I can send the thing to diagnose? I have it set as a target on my pc, any help would be awesome!

You won't be able to use PSN on your kit. You can change between Dev & Retail PSN by changing from "sp-int" to "sp" (or "np", I don't remember). Yet even once you get on all downloads will fail.

Dev PSN should be IP locked.

That makes a lot of sense, kinda thought that would be the case. I don't plan to download anything but as long as I can get online i am happy.

I hope U didn't buy the test unit just to play retail games. It will be a waste!

No, I just am under renovations so my current set up requires me to change all the cables to swap consoles, just tried to save the effort.

You won't be able to use a Debugstation on PSN.

Some people would hack and "molest" it with "CFW" then run some sort of cloaking program to make it look like a CEX/Retail console for SONY servers.

Not only you risk ruining the unit (brick) you also risk getting your SEN/PSN account banned for tampering. Simply don't ...

Makes perfect sense, blows my mind why pnet wasn't whitelisted long before its date. I just thought i might be able to connect to regualr psn vs SDN, but it has a lot more purpose to me than just retail, so it is far from my concerns. Thanks for the heads up!

You can connect to the retail (regular) SEN (PSN) with debug FW 4.25+ and environment (@ Debug Settings) set to np. :)

But you can't make PSN purchases, is that correct ?

Also I don't think anyone leaked 4.31 for DEX.

That's correct; you can't install retail content.
Latest leaked FW is 4.25; latest official FW is 4.31
