Ps3 Tool Date bug 8001050F running 4.50

Hi,

i got this night switching 02.28 -> 03.01 an date error "8001050F" on my TOOL running 4.50 firmware.
I read that a battery reset will fix this problem, but my kit is still sealed and i wont open it up till i have to do.

My question, is there any other way to fix the problem without open up the system and reset the battery?
Also will this be fixed when i autosetup the date on 03.02 via internet.

edit: switching CMOS battery and anything work fine again.

 

All of our TOOL/TEST got the same error yesterday. Now they keep rebooting in a looping cycle. Let me know if you are able to sort it out Chris.

 

February 28->March 1 leap year bug yet again

 

crap this scares me. might be time to pull the test out of the closet to make sure it's ok.

 

If you didn't use the system during the date changes, you should be ok.
