Yesterday, the British Embassy in Tokyo held a seminar on British gaming and demonstrated how powerfully graphic the PS3 is. Literally. Called “Play UK 2006,†the seminar showcased Britain’s top-flight contents and development tools. Six companies participated including Kuji Entertainment, one of Europe’s largest independent developers. The company has worked on Battalion Wars, Call of Duty: Finest Hour and Eye Toy: Play 2. Kujo showed clips of a yet unsigned FPS called Redwood Falls. The results, according to Famitsu are alarming. Upon impact, meat is stripped from the bone as bullet penetrated the body. Viewers in the audience instinctively turned away. The company’s creative director said, “It was our intention to completely reproduce the human body.†That they’ve done and graphically as humanly possible as well. The exercise in style does not yet have a publisher yet, but no doubt the demo already has its fair share of critics. personally i don't have any problems with that, i think it's great, it's realistic but it was sure that there will be more than enough critics from the first frame on...
If the game doesnt get signed surely the disc would be worth quite a lot in the future Maybe its because of the low quality images, but the graphics dont appear very groundbreaking, very Half-Life 2ish
It's impossible to tell the level of detail from a still image as low quality as the ones in the article.
It wont be much longer before we have very realistic deaths. Shooting someone in the head and causing their actual brains to be exposed, explosions sending body parts everywhere, and etc. Wasnt there one army game that was banned for content like this?
but you need to consider that the ps3 models are, from what they said, a human body recreation, with flesh, muscles, bones, and all.
Awsome, just f'ing awsome. I've always looked forward to the day that the human body is fully re-created in games as opposed to just an outer shell. This is obviously just the first step at achieving said goal (complete human re-creation) but its the first one i've seen twards it of any significance in a long while. Im fully looking forward to seeing how far they push this new technology.
Lmao... I just can't wait until I can see photo-realistic "babes" to pretend chat with and play dress up. It will make the suspense even more exciting!! Seriously though, from what I have seen from both sides of the next-gen consoles, nothing really looks any better than what my computer can throw out. My computer isn't even top of the line by today's standards.
