    Wrong section!
You should post this in the general gaming section...

Google isn't my friend, we had a falling out back in '99 when he tried to sleep with my wife, and have never spoken since

But anyways, back onto (of off, depending on ones point of view) topic. Certain PS3's play ps1/2 games, either by software or hardware emulation, and the newer PS3's have no backward compat whatsoever, so as Pikkon said, use your friendly neighbourhood non-specific search engine

I must admit there, gamegenius007, your username is deceitful! :p

PS3s have a few good games out which play well, though it is dependent on whether it has the kind of games you enjoy.

PS1 and PS2 support is good on consoles built within the first 6 months, very very limited on some later consoles, and non-existent on new consoles (although this depends on where you live). Overall, I think that if you're wanting to play PS1 and PS2 games, you're best off buying a PS2 AND a PS3, especially if you're buying a new console rather than a used one.

    Hope that's helpful.
