Seems this small company Zero Dev is bringing ALL the Psikyo games to the Swtich starting with the Shmups. Which might mean that the first console release of Daraku Tenshi is eminent. Maybe Battle K Road too.

I only have the Gunbird and Strikers 1945 II ports now. I'm waiting on the Zero Gunner 2 patch, that version is apparently very buggy. But the other two are pretty solid.

Between all the Neo Geo games, some Data East games, and Psikyo, all the Swtich needs now is some Cave ports and some Taito Arcade Archives and it'll be Arcade heaven.

Why bother with stuff like this? Just play them on MAME. That's all these versions area Emulated roms.

Can't MAME on a Switch, I don't really see your point.

I hope they bring out 1945 Plus, but considering they skipped straight to II I'm worried they won't bother.

I'm not talking about using the switch for MAME. Im saying if you want to play a no frills emulation of an old arcade game then why not play it on MAME. I do support the likes of what M2 do with their ports because they add so much that it's worth paying for the additions over the stock MAME experience.

Well sure, you can also perfectly emulate SNES games on Higan, but it doesn't stop people from wanting to buy SNES games officially through Nintendo for their New 3DS, or a just a SNES Mini. I've bought multiple arcade games for Switch recently simply because it's a "no frills", as you say, way to play them on the go or on my TV with guaranteed functionality vs. me making some kind of portable/dockable Raspberry Pi MAME console.

I could just Emulate all the Arcade archives games too but I buy them anyway.

Take ACA Neo Geo for example I have every Neo Geo Game on my Raspberry pi, but I have a few select Neo Geo games on my PS4 and Switch. Because the default controls on the Switch are much, MUCH better. Besides cheap Android handhelds, how else can you play Metal Slug 3 on the can?

Another great thing about these Switch Psikyo ports TATE MODE. I'm getting a stand for my Switch and a dongle for my arcade stick and I'm draining battery playing some of these in Portable mode. The other reason to get these is some of these games just don't run at full speed on a Raspberry Pi. Gunbarach doesn't run at all. $8 for Zero Gunner 2 is a steal, I have it on Dreamcast as I got it while it was still only a $30, but having what is basically the first western release of this game can only be a good thing.

Strikers 1945 is on there. I bought II by mistake as I actually intended to get Zero Gunner.

Zero Gunner 2 needs to be played on a dreamcast with the widescreen patch in VGA.

I have Zero Gunner 2 on Dreamcast. But it's great that it's on Switch now so others can enjoy it.
