It's been a bit since I have messed around with this so hoping someone takes pity on me and lets me in on the secret. I am trying to connect my DECR to PSN like I used to with my DECH but it's not working. With the NP Environment set as 'np', when I attempt to sign in I receive error 80710A06. My suspicion is that I simply cannot connect due to the OFW being at 4.60 while the rest of you cool kids are on 4.80 CEX. So.... so I am not causing internal brain hemorrhage trying to figure this out, can someone just tell me the FW is too old and that is what is causing the issue, or is there something else I am missing....?
Does rebug work on that? if yes then use that? also you need a spoofer probably since yes PSN would kick you out if it sees you are not on the latest.
Rebug evidently requires dex firmware which this can only utilize decr firmware. Unless anyone knows something I do not? Thus far any spoofer I have tried intended for dex fails to boot ending in an error and a return to xmb. Hmm...something to work on I suppose. Unless that is that someone would have decr 4.80....
To my knowledge, Joonie has DECR Rebug CFW but I have not personally asked if they'd release it. A friend of mine is in the same spot as you as CFW anf Rebug are great but are just not there for the DECR models. I am still trying to find someone willing to share 4.80 for DECR but until I do 4.60 OFW is what you can use on it. PM Joonie. They may be willing to help (I really want Rebug for these kits. I really really do.)
I just don't want to be THAT guy who randomly PMs peeps and asks for something though seeing as I have never done any sort of "business" with Joonie. I'd be more than happy to share Xbox stuff with him for something that is cfw working on a decr or even decr ofw 4.80 if you or anyone who knows him wants to pass this request on to them....

Asked Joonie. They said it was a project they worked on, but due to lack of polish and restrictions with what you can do (PS1/PS2/VSH/BD/DVD) they eventually dropped it. There is MFW (modified firmware) but not for the latest stuff. Rebuilding it for a DECR isn't easy either as you have to manually patch things and that's annoying. I'll see if I can locate 4.80 OFW for ya in the mean time. As for the other stuff, what exactly are you trying to do with the system at the moment?
Yeah I am aware of the 3.15 mfw that was made to access the Other OS option. Just to access PSN for now. A cfw would be fantastic though.
The way systems communicate with PSN changed as of 4.66 so you maynot need 4.80 but to my knowledge I haven't seen any DECR firmwares leaked above where you are at right now. So maybe 4.66 or higher will work for you.

Also tried 4.50 MFW by Joonie intended for DECR. Took 4 hours to remove said firmware. So that was not a good idea.... Does anyone have connection to anything greater than DECR ofw 4.60 they'd be willing to share? I can share back....
You are correct in your assumptions, you need to be on a higher firmware to connect to np/psn/sen. That said, Sony usually have automated bans that detect blacklisted title ids in SFO (like the ones for FbaNext or Multiman...) it's rather easy to work around this, but are you willing to risk banning your DECR from the np network?
