    $50 PSN Card

    19.99 going towards Mamorukun Curse!

So that give me $30 to toss around. I have a rough idea of what I'd like to get but I'd figure, why not see what others have on PSN. I DO have PSN+ so I've gotten a few freebies too. (Labyrinth Legends is fun but my Screen is cutting off some of the playfeild) Any who, drop some suggestions. I'm interested in what others have found on PSN as it is a brave new world for me.

Dark Awake: The King Has No Name (2d Fighter)

Dark Awake is a neat little fighter port of an old arcade title (Chaos Breaker). As far as I know it's an PSN exclusive.
It's rare to see a fantasy themed 2d fighter and in this one the setting is kinda a cross between Conan the Barbarian mixed with Warhammer. There are some cool characters to fight with like a dwarf driving a giant cannon, a giant screen sized troll, goblins riding giant lizards and a skeleton on a skeleton horse.

The House of the Dead 4 (lightgun shooter)

If you like lightgun games and you don't mind toying with a Playstation move (and a gun mold). It's quite great game and the port is nice, although a rather straight one. Mind that you control your fire, just because you have an uzi doesn't mean you have to spray it everywhere, calculated headshots count here, since there are more enemies on the screen then ever. There's even a panic bomb from SHMUP influence, the only downside is that they downgraded the maximum score path which previous HOTD games (failure in cerrtain scenes leads to paths where lesser score can be obtained, while in here you can simply choose which path to go) .

    Afterburner: Climax (rail shooter)

A straight port from the arcade, but it's nice game. A whole lot easier then the first Afterburner, but it still stunning to play. And after all these years I still think it looks beautiful.

Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown (3d Fighter)

PSN exclusive arcade port, to bad nobody kinda plays it online anymore these days, so bring a buddy and a second controller if you want this one. Virtua Fighter kinda explains itself and what you can expect :)

Revenge of the Wounded Dragons (2d platformer/beat'em up)

A neat little PSN exclusive, which is fun provided that you play it in coop mode with a buddy (and perform the variety of coop moves, which are fun to do with two). A mix between some 2d platforming and side scrolling beat'em up (in a 2 Bad Dudes Vs. the Dragon Ninja way). The scenery is same a 70s Golden Harvest Kung Fu Basher flicks, like Bruce Lee's The Big Boss. Soon you'll be shouting BAMBOOO BREAAAAKER along with the announcer after breaking enemy heads.

Invincible Tiger: The Legend of Han Tao (2d platformer/beat'em up)

Kinda samey as Revenge of the Wounded Dragons, only in a more Shaw Brothers kinda feel, like Chang Cheh's flicks with the Venom Mob (5 Deadly Venoms and co.). The difference is that you play this one more in a giant arena (some stages have 3-4 arena's) which changes overtime, with some great background object interaction for your fighting moves. Play this one, again, with a buddy and if you have a pair of 3d glasses, then play this one in the 3d mode that's a hoot :p

Black Knight Sword (2d action platformer)

A great megadrive style action platformer (think Mystic Defender, Jewel Master, El Viento, Alisia Dragoon) so a little slower paced then the the platformers which it visually looks like (Ghouls & Ghost or the NES Castlevania's) but with wonderful graphics and art style. I really love how everything is presented as if it's a play, with one narrator doing all the voices (high pitching it when needed). While slower then the likes of Castlevania it still have some tight platforming think down attack bouncing on enemies while slashing the ones flying at you to reach platforms, old school stuff! Also has some nice bosses giant wolf with a human head, literal hog riders (skeletons driving pigs), a psychic mum with flying fork and knifes, giant fire breathing chickens. There's little enemy sponges (it's a not a juggle combo game) which is great imo, and if you set the difficulty higher enemies do different patterns and new attacks isntead of adding more Hp and Damage. Great stuff!

    Outland (Action Platformer)

A nice blend between Ikaruga and and platformer. Imo kidna bogged down by the God of War syndrome but still neat to play.

Double Dragon Neon (belt scroll action/beat'em up)

A tight Double Dragon game, with some great music (especially the tunes made for the casette tapes/moves that you pick up) and remixes. To comedy can be a bit forced at places. The fighting is decent, although the fighting system needs you to pause the game a lot by switchin' moves (which sometimes make you stick listinin' to the awesome tunes instead of returning to the game to finish your combo). 2 player coop recommended :)

Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World (belt scroll action/beat'em up)

A decent beat'em up, if you like River City Ransom then get this one. Enemies seem to be a bit of enemy damage sponges at times for you to do one of the juggle based combo's on, which is a minus. And while I'm not fond of LvLing in m belt scroll game, the game is quite ok with decent spriteart. 4 player madness.

Castle Crashers (belt scroll action/beat'em up)

Another decent beat'em up, little bit simplistic when it comes down to it's fighting system. But decent experience overall. 4 players coop bonanza.

Indeed, pixeljunk shooter is one of my favourite games.

I keep forgetting this is on PSN. I have the Arcade game from the Massive Type X dump a few years back.

House of the Dead 3 is also on PSN.

I still plan to buy these even though they're also on XBOX Live...and I also have them on XBOX Live.

These seem like my kind of thing I love Beat em ups.

    Also on XBOX Live

    Ok I'm interested.
These are all also on XBOX Live but Castle Crashers does have some Extras not on XBOX Live. Not sure about Neon.
Good suggestions as you brought up a few games I hadn't seen or heard of.

I ended up getting Mamaroukun Curse, Gundemonium Collection, Rockman 2 and 3 and an interesting SNK shooter I never heard of, Bermuda triangle.
