PSOne laser malfunctioning (continuously trying to slide left) after modchip

EDIT: SOLVED! There was a short between the 2 resistors at point 3. Chip is working great now.

I've just installed a Mayumi V4 into my PSOne and now i'm having some issues when trying to test it out. I've reassembled the console and when I turn it on, the drive spins, but the laser itself is either rattling back and forth or trying to constantly move to the left, making a rapid clicking noise. I'm curious to know whether or not something to do with a component of the mod chip itself, or if something is just off on the drive. My mod work looks fine but I may have messed up with one of the solder points?

Check for a short beetwen two smd resistor on point 3

 

This was exactly it! The wire must have been making contact with both of the resistors and shorting it out. I adjusted the wire to ensure that it was only going to point 3 and it's working like a charm now.
I was pretty skeptical of that point specifically as well but I had ran a dull exacto knife through it very gently and it didn't seem like the two resistors were bridged.
