    UPDATE AT POST NO. 6!!!

    Greetings from Turkey,

As you might know, the PsOne LCD has an AV-in on the back, so I want to plug my Gamecube in it. I bought two cables of different brands (I thought the cable was the problem). But I'm not able to succeed. All I get is a little bit of sound & terrible video in the beginning and then the screen turns off. I tried the screen with my n64 and the same thing happens. All devices are PAL and the psone is a modchipped pal psone as well. The photo of the cable I got is below:

I also took a 5 seconds video of the screen while the Gamecube was running: http://tinypic.com/r/2v0mt1z/8

Please enlighten me! Thanks a dozen :)
Note: I have no experience with modding or any sort of cable stuff, please consider that I dont have any idea about the terminology

The TRS plug could be wired wrong..

IE: Ground could be backwards, stick a double ended rca plug into the yellow and press the video from the GC to it but swap the ring and tip..

The "mini-plug-to-female-RCA" cable can have different configurations.
On the mini-plug end, each metal part separated by a ring corresponds to one of the RCA ends. There are different configurations (ie. in some cables, the yellow RCA may be the top part of the mini-plug, while in a different cable it may be the bottom)

    There's a progress!!!
I found this cable at home:

I decided to try different combinations and somehow using this combination I got a crystal clear image!
But the thing is that is the only position I get a good image, so is there a way I can make it more stabilized maybe using my female connectors?

The forum seems to be acting again; first post is now LeHaM's reply to what was originally the first post.
Also, I can't see the 2 attachments from berq219 in the post above.

    Anyway...
Here's a screenshot from an Android app that shows the possible "configurations" on the mini-plug side, by manufacturer, in case it helps.

Is that something I can do without soldering and is there a scheme or way to google a video that'd show me how to do that?

Also the way it works at the moment is a little weird. Only one sound (right or left) + the tip of the yellow cable must touch the other cable's tip. (Just like in the 2nd picture on the 6th post)

You can do it without soldering bu it would not be as good of a connection. Don't know of a guide but you can use the picture above to the sony pinout and a multimeter to see what goes where after cutting the cable in half.
