PSOne Modded - Best CD-R Blank media to use with it?

I've got a PSOne modded with a chip. Not sure which one but it seems to work very well. However I just got a pack of blank media it seems like it won't play anything but certain games that are on certain "blank media" Now is there a list or a set of recommended types of blank media to use? I have the TDK 20 pack CD-Rs from Dollar General. Not sure if that's the best kind to use so please let me know if theres a better setup to use. Or is it the fact I need to update the chip to play with certain games which I doubt is the case but if this does occur ie NFS 3 and all Army Men games will be played off this unit by my son.... Let me know please as I'm a newb to the PSone scene.

Indeed I am. Not had anything to do with SBH for over 2 years now though. Moved on to greener pastures

In case you can't find TY look for JVC which is the same brand.
