Hi there folks. This is my first post on Assemblergames. I've set up the SDK under Linux (Ubuntu 32Bit) and i'm using Eclipse (with the CDT plugin) as IDE. The two things that don't work atm are the error parser for the source and the script runner for the ant script in the project root directory. So you have to manually build your project (e.g. execute it in a shell) each time you change your sourcecode. If i've got some spare time, i will post a tutorial on this forum. P.S. Sorry for my bad english, it's not my native language ;-)
I haven't really touched it since late December. There are some little issues I want to fix before releasing the next version (0.5). If anyone has any project, suggestion, etc. feel free to tell me about them. And not to be detrimental to Assemblergames (it's a nice forum) but I had the idea of opening a messageboard specifically for the PSXSDK. You can access it here: http://devio.us/~nextvolume/psxsdk_board This way we have a place to discuss specifically about it.
Incredible work! tails92, This is some INCREDIBLE work! VERY impressed! : ) I for one will be signing up, however you might find that having a sticky or something for it here might end up having more actual Sony PSX programmers to see it. Lots of devs here. (Just saying.) Either way, this is HIGHLY impressive. THANK YOU! Would love to see a PSX game/app Compo if enough people start work on this! Regards, npt
Thanks for your congratulations, npt. Yes, it would be very nice if a Dev Contest like the ones held for other consoles was made. It would help to bring new life to the PSXdev scene. I'm up for organizing a Dev Contest. I could release 0.4 instead of 0.5 in case it's held.
Been quite busy lately, but since the middle of next week I would have time to check the SDK. Looks great so far. Thanks for your work on this, I sincerely appreciate.
