Hot on the heels of the 2.6 ->1.5 downgrader comes a 1.5 -> 1.0 downgrader! Unlike the 1.5 firmware, the 1.0 firmware directly runs unsigned code, with no need for an exploit, or corrupt data icons. Also, due to the fact that 1.0 eBoots have *no security at all* it may be possible for homebrewers to roll out custom firmwares that are not possible on 1.5+. Full details: http://pspupdates.qj.net/1-50-1-0-Downgrader-in-Progress-Forum-Announcement-Released/pg/49/aid/58035 I have used this program myself and can report it worked without any issues. As long as you follow the directions your PSP *will* be fine!
1.5 is better if you wanna pirate, no UMD Emulator, devhook, etc on 1.0, it iss just not possible and about the corrupted icons... theres a little program that removes them.
shame there arent any decent games worth pirating on the PSP Loco Roco was pretty average :\ GTA:VCS should be good *hopefully*
I didnt play GTALCS but I didnt hear any "damn this game rules!" comments from people who did, while I did hear them from the other GTA games. Anyway, sony should release Quake3A and CounterStrike, both with online mode. That would help sell the black brick...
GTA LCS is good, although i think it got more praise for its technical effort, Its a good game non the less, but it gets old after awhile there is quake and quake2 for the psp however.... What really interests me about the new 1.5 downgrader, is that with 1.0 we now have the ability to launch modded firmware's In effect, we could have a dual boot system, very much like that of the Undiluted Platnium, for example, have a small loader application run at boot-up, and either run the "normal" firmware, i.e., the decrypted 2.7 from the memory stick, while 1.0 would remain in the psp's flash0........the possibilities are endless Ryan
Play LCS all over again and you'll get the answer. Aren't you guys kinda tired of playing for a 5th time the same sluglish game all over again?
