I don't know why they'd release another PSP considering all the PSP2 rumours floating around (unless this IS the PSP2).
I'm curious if it's true. my money is on it being bogus (ie the comp is jumping the gun, it happens) or it's bogus listing for psp2. Hell their listing date for pokemon is wrong (as noted in the article). The only real things they could do for a PSP4k is integrate PSP-Go features (ie BT, & internal flash) into a PSP3k unit. If the system was to be a Go with a UMD drive (not a bad prospect) it would have been PSP-N2000. Really I don't get why sony hasn't just come out and released a UMD drive add on for Go that let you install 1 UMD game at a time. It could possibly salvage the Go (at least in japan).
Highly doubtfull for it being either a PSPgo with UMD or the PSP2 - it's almost certain none of that. Someone else suggested it being a 3000 like PSP with internal storage and bluetooth - I'd like THAT one. But I think the dif. 3000<->4000 will be as big as the dif. 2000<->3000, so not much exitement to expect.
I really can't see Sony releasing another version of the PSP again. The PSP Go seemed like a fitting end to the PSP1 line for now. PSP 2 on the other hand I reckon will come up in the next year or so.
I disagree. The machine is selling a lot in Japan still and the 3DS is not much more powerful than the PSP, so if they can further reduce the cost of the machine and release it for a lower price, it could see a second wind in other markets.
I've said it before, but there are already more versions of the PSP than there are non-ported PSP games worth playing, and now, well...
Which is really a shame. I really enjoy my PSP. I've probably used it more than any handheld since my gameboy color.
Same here. Except replace Color with GBA SP v1 I've owned 3 PSP's and I am still getting countless hours out of it
