Dev pics of a SONY PSP being used with a 360 Xbox: http://www.xbox365.com/news.cgi?id=GGuPPdNdHL08052211
either it could piss Sony off that Xbox is pushing compatability with psp or make them happy hoping that xbox faithful will now buy a psp due to it being able to be used with the 360
Meh, I don't know...it's not offering you the ability to Play your PSP games on the big screen or interact with Xbox 360 games (as of now, anyway). It's just treating it like a generic USB flash device. I'm still waiting to see if there is any more interesting compatibility.
Yeah I'm not seeing anything special here. If it can do similar to what the PS3 can apparently do with the PSP(wireless streaming of media) then I'd be more impressed.
it seems that its just using it as a plug and play storage device just like windows does... not very exiting! Now if it came with software to make dvds smaller and fit memory sticks...
...Lol, the last three posts have answered your own questions, agreed it's not 'exciting' at the moment but think of were it will lead ;-)
Sony is the one that benefits at this point but it has to be an embarrassment for them that the first console compatible with their product is their top competitor. It will be interesting to see if any developers sneak in content that is unlocked by using the PSP and XB 360 together. That would be a real slap to Sony's face if MS turned their own system against them.
That might actually be possible - well the 360 seems to recognise it as a "PSP" and not just a generic USB drive - I wonder if a game would be able to recognise it too?
It's not the XBOX that recognises the PSP, it's the PSP that "introduces" itself to the console (as an storage USB device).
