I doubt it, but want to make sure before I go buy one. Any issues w/ a 16GB Memory Stick being read by my PSP? I've heard of dumber things, unfortunately.
Unfortunately, out of all the mem sticks i have for my PSP the largest is a 4GB, so i really cant say for sure. Im sure you could probably buy one and if it doesnt work you could return it, tell them something like " that size card is incompatible with my camera" or some other crap like that. Try to buy it from a bigger store, they seem to be better when it comes to returning stuff.
Think again. Asking to return something in Japan is like asking for someone's first born. I don't have the latest, but it's somewhat new. Guess there's one way to find out.
They went Higher? I thought the highest was 8GB? And that was also the last I heard that was supported, but my PSP has been dead for so long now I dont keep up... :crying:
I still don't get why. I tried to return a game that I accidentally bought twice and they didn't even know what I was talking about... "giving back"..."what you bought?". It took quite some time untill they that I wanted to do something that they never thought someone could want to do in any case.
Should be no problem: http://www.jp.playstation.com/support/qa-736.html Blame Sony if it doesn't work.
The only thing I'd add is - make sure the you are buying a real sony or sandisk branded stick. I've had looaads of customers come in with faulty fake sticks that they got off ebay.
I have a Sony one. I put some Playstation games on it and they seem fine. I'm having a cock of a time getting videos to play though. I doubt it's the stick, but I'm just now loading them on a 4GB to see if that's it. That will be a massive fuck job if it's the card.
Works on a 4GB. Well isn't that a kick in the knickers. Also worth noting, my PSP formatted 16GB card didn't show up in Windows Explorer. I had to mount it on my Linux machine to copy files there.
....and I was just going to buy a 8GB Fake sticks are everywhere, so if you want to be sure its original buy it at a sony store, or any franchise store. Small shops may have pirate sticks and dont even know about it. BTW, which is the best brand? sony? sandisk?
GaijinPunch, are you using modded firmware on your PSP or official Sony firmware??? Also, what version firmware are you on?? Just curious.
Speaking of which, is there any method to install the modded firmware that doesnt involves the pandora battery? like an all-software method?
That is incorrect. I modded my PSP without a pandora or a modchip. Try googling the GTA:LCS exploit ( for older psp's) or the Lumines exploit ( for newer PSP's). You would need to buy a certain copy of one of these 2 games, but you can find both for 10 bucks or less apiece probably. Also, the exploits only work if your firmware is before a certain version, i cant recall exactly what firmwares the exploits will work on.
