hi members , i got some replacement rubbers for one of my PSP's and i cant get the Right D-Pad to function properly. It seems theres a trick to get it back together so the D-Pad sits nice and feels comfortable. Even with the original rubbers Right sort of feels like crap and wont press nicely............

    any tips ?

Try ifixit.com or a teardown on the JewTubes. Fwiw, I did not have any issues like that whenever I opened my PSP(-1000), no tricks.

Dpad has a standoff you line up with, otherwise maybe you got the wrong rubbers. It's not overly complicated, so if it's not feeling right then it isn't correct. I took the PSP apart when I was like 16 (24 now) at a friends house lol. We had no idea what we were doing at all, and managed to put everything back right.

PSP D-PAD and rubber should be fitted on a fixed orientation due to it's design taking the display in consideration.
