I've been playing around with my psp recently and installed custom firmware (5.00 m33) and have installed popsloader etc but still can't seem to get any psx games working on it. Have tried using popstation etc but still not working. As far as working goes it's not even coming up under the memory card. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

Can you explain which folder/s in the memory card you're putting it in?

Do you have EBOOTs or plain ISOs?

EBOOTS, both made with popstation and downloaded ones. Really don't know why I can't see them :( Tried downgrading to 3.90 M33 aswell but no luck.

What Exactly are you using to make your eboots?

and have you tried holding R when starting the game so you can select your PoPs version?

Also are you using PAL versions when you make your own? (not sure if NZ is PAL *Shrug*) PAL versions have been notorious for not working (custom Eboots anyway) as well as NTSC versions. Or at least that's how it was for a long time when it was first around

The game doesn't even appear on my memory card so no way I can even start it. Using PsGUI300beta at the moment. Tried ones from pspiso.com etc without luck so thinking it's something to do with pops.

Yeah NZ is PAL, I'm not going to hold you to not knowing much about NZ, we're not that big.

I've recently come back to it as well, was fine when 3.71 was the top notch firmware but can't seem to get it working on that even now. Failing in general.

Have you tried adding folders in your folders? Or putting the Eboots in the root, like you do with an update?

    Hi,
Did you format your MS after the upgrade?

I had to format with the PSP when I upgraded to 5.0-M33. Now using 5.50GenD. More stable and compatible.

    Titox.

PS: Hey. This is my first post, Great forums guys!!!!!!

Most Stable Firmware that Works with all games: 5.50 Gen D-3 Final + 5.50 Promethus 4

Like the subject says, if you want a stable firmware that will run every game (MHP3 Jap 6.36 included) install 5.50 Gen D-3 Final, then run 5.5 0 Prometheus 4 on top, and you can run just about any game you want. For the m33 purists in the house, luckily there are 3 version of Promethus 4: 5.00 m33-6, 5.50 Gen D-3, and 5.03 Gen-C, so you can install it on top of the ULTRA stable 5.00 m33-6, and get almost the same game compatibility as the original combo. Anyway, just thought I'd share that. If you need to know where to get it, just look at psp-hacks.

    Regards,

    npt

p.s. I do not support piracy, including MHP3, I just like carrying a Photofast Cr-5400 that allows me 32gb storage, and so rather than carry my umd's which I want in good shape anyway, I do give myself the 1 backup copy I am allowed by law. Longer battery life too.
