Just to give you a idea, this is both a swing and a miss for us.

    Good news:
-Revolution news will be at E3
-PSP is coming out on March 24th in America
-PSP launch confimed: Major titles coming out at the same time
-NES classic series did very well, will continue to sell

    Bad News:
-Bastards at Sony priced the PSP at $249.00, which is a bad move (In my opinion)
-Nintendo may not even show the actual Revolution hardware at this years E3, and may just show off it's power (Not a good move, in my opinion)

Well, this is both good and bad. Note that the PSP price is the value pack, but even then that is a bad move with Sony. Good to hear that the PSP games are priced at 40 bucks, and the line up is solid, though.

After reading the Revolution article I've concluded nintendo are either retarded or full of shit. They say they want to find the best way to convey the uniqueness of the console but may not show the hardware, but the hardware is the onlything that would really convey what they are upto ....

Correct, $249.99 in the US for the PSP--I just inquired at Ebgames about 10 minutes ago.

However, this is for the equivalent of the JP Value Package--they aren't releasing it stand alone.

    For a reason. :smt042

Sony's way of saying "Screw you buy our product. Give us money for stuff you don't want or need!"

Oh, and EBgames/gamestop on their websites are only selling bundles w/ 3 games and 1 per person. For $400. I wonder why! :smt043 :smt043

I'm ordering 5 from Target or Walmart.

They can't legally only sell you just a pre-made bundle, unless it was sent to them from Sony that way. Make a fuss, and just buy the console and whatever games you want, they have to honour it.

They dont LEGALY have do sell you shit... They COULD tell you to fuck off.. If that retailer only sells it that way, then thats all there is to it.. take it or leave it.... Now sony on the other hand might not like it. But as for legality, they can do what they want... I get a kick out of consumers these days that think the retailers have to eat shit... Its a myth.. Its the result of about a hundred years of retailers kissing butt to gain sales.. They dont HAVE to be nice to you at all, but they should if they want to stay in business..

It's all about forcing you to buy the accessories so they lose less money on the unit.
The unit may be sold at cost, but the other shit cost them maybe $3.00 to make. that's maybe $30 profit per system.

Still think it should be $190

I'm already expecting to cost 1.300 Reais down here. (since the DS costs 900 Reais)

Not too much Brazilian owners for this one Sony :smt043

it seems i did not catch this thread, but anyway, im a bit iffy that the price of the psp will effect the chances of it beign successful, dont forget all the sony fan boys, but the main reason i question it is the fact that ipods go for like $300-400 depedning on the mocel and they sell quite well here in the U.S. Still the price has a good chance of hurting the portable from selling, also the fact that games are gonna cost between $40-50, and these $400 bundles are ridiculess, will just see what happens. Im guessing the delay to anounce this and gran turismo was probably them trying to still plan it, even the launch linup isnt that impressive since its mostly ea games, though there is more to choose from then the japanese release, will see what happens, i dont quite think its gonna effect the ds that much in my opionion.

I'd have no problem paying $200 for the unit, but I don't want the damned value pack.

And if that wasn't bad enough, try even finding that. Most places are bundling it together with games I don't want, and accessories I REALLY don't want, into dumbass bundles over $500. Screw that, I'll pick up an import unit.

I mean, the memory stick is useful, all the other stuff is crap. What do I want cheeseball Sony headphones for? I bought $300 Grados for a reason.....we FINALLY have a portable game system with CD-quality audio, and they want me to use crap headphones? Biatches...

If you know someone who works at target, they can get you "the value pack" for ~200 bucks alone with their discount.
