    I'm curious twofold-
If anyone's ever found schematics (like the PSX/PS2) for the PSP...
And/or if there's been any development in pulling a digital audio signal off the board (like the hitmen mod for PSX)

The PSP uses a "AC-Link" style audio codec Wolfson WM1614 on 1000 series and WM1800 on the slim series.

It's complicated to get digital audio out of it due to the way the AC link thing works. The software can check the vendor/device ID meaning the PSP will know if you tap the audio output.

You will need something custom made to achieve your goal.

That's disappointing to hear, I wonder if the PSP actually checks though...?
regardless. yeah, finding data sheets seems to be near impossible...

It was just a curiosity while I work on building a reverse-engineering station (since debug/development kits seem impossible to find, and I'm not sure really how much help they'd be for my project anyway)

    thanks!
