    Umm, a bit of clingfilm??

You could get some acetate and cut to just larger than the screen, and then attach it to the unit with a low-tack solution, perhaps blu-tac. Or, you could use that stuff like sellotape in sheets, although it would leave a mess when removed.

To be honest, though... just be careful with it and you'll be fine. Keep it in its soft protective case at all times, unless you're actually playing it.

  3. Yeah, that's what I thought when I preordered my PSP... then it arrived. Never owned a console which feels like it's going to scratch by just looking at it... until now.

That's what I hate most about the PSP. I guess I'm too much of a neat freak :smt042

    I think the PSP needs a Flip-top.

Well, I have one right here and I don't see what the big deal is.

The "screen" is plastic. Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Game Gear, Lynx, Lynx II, GT Express, DS ... and every other handheld had plastic screens. What did you do with them? Or did you guys never buy one of them when they were expensive enough for you to care about looking after it?

Keep it in the soft case. Take it out only when you are playing it. When you aren't playing it (READ: when you go to pee for 2 mins or anything that causes you to put it down), put it in the case.

Only a complete lummock can scratch one if they are careful.

I had to buy a replacement screen for my GBA.
GBA SP's screen is tougher, though.
