Depending on the games, this might actually make it worth picking up... second hand... unregistered... I don't need a 3rd PSP, but this might swing it.
Be careful. Sony is probably trying to clear their stocks, so maybe they'll only let "new" consoles to work with this.
Yeah will definitely check this out carefully before splashing the cash. Still not decided until I see the full game list.
I like my PSP-Go but this really shows how badly it's doing. What sony needs more then anything else is a price drop. The tech is super old and probably barely cost much to make. As well at proper exchange rate it was insanely priced in the UK. Old PSP should be $130-$150 and Go should be $175.
I think they're forced to give you value in the form of games, 10 of them, because retailers probably can't afford to drop the price much below 200 probably. you can get 10 free games with a hacked PSP too;p Nevertheless, if the device was to be found for about 100 or less euros I'd bite.
Same everywhere from what I can tell. Saw one for the first time the other day and was a bit confused as to what it was - I'd forgotten! I still see people with PSPs though.
I never saw a PSPGo. Never  Guess i'm lucky. Normal PSPs i see eventually, but DS are way more commom.
I've seen less than 5 people playing a PSP in all the years since it came out. On the other hand, I've seen DSes (or whatever the plural would be) every once in a while...even saw two kids playing some multiplayer game a couple of months ago.
A friend of mine actually bought one, but really all he's done with it is used it as an MP3 player in his car. I'm hoping PSP2 is around the corner and Sony realizes people want physical media.
Wonder what they'd use for physical media if they use any at all, considering the success of the App Store, for example? The UMD has obviously been dead for quite a while now and I doubt Sony would be stupid enough to make a new format like it.
Never ever seen a PSP GO but seen many original PSP's and a lots of DS's. I mean once the little excitement i had for GT was over i basically forgot about the GO and the stuck to my regular PSP. Could they not adapt some sort of SD/MSpro cards to be read only once a game is on them? I'm sure it would be better than UMD.
Pspgo was just too late and poorly designed. First it costs more then the old model, which makes no sense value wise. No umd drive or adapter to use old umd games, also complex interface. Honestly psp go could of been a hit if sony would of gotten it on the market a year or 2 after the psp came out. Then again the psp was poorly designed from the start, especially considering portable use.
The disc casing is a good example of that poor design. Why not use the Minidisc casing? That would protect the disc from dust and scratches, instead of that cheap one they ended up using.
that's like arguing that the bottom of CDs are too easy to scratch. You just have to *not* drop them down the stairs or put them in your dog's food bowl.
