PSX 30 Blocks MemoryCard ... does anybody know how to use it ?

Today I bought a PSX for my consoles collection.
There were included an official Sony PSX memory card , and this strange memory card of 30 Blocks (2MB):

The problem is that I can't figure out how to switch between 1st and 2nd page (I believe that there are two pages of 15 blocks each) ...

    Please help :)

I own a similar Memory card, is there a switch on the back of the card? It's pretty much two memory cards in one.

Hmmm, maybe search the card up. The brand is labelled on it, might help.

Try starting the console holding a different button down each time on boot and then check in memory manager to see if anything has changed.

    Long shot but might work.

Some of the later generic memory cards actually used button combinations to change between the different pages(Pages= block of 15 memory blocks, to overcome the 15 block limit on PSX consoles) its normally indicated by a LED on the card or a 8 segment display.

Try Select+(L1 or R1) or Start+(L1 or R1) or different combinations till the leds flash or change, allso be sure to use an original psx pad not a ps2 pad, mine wont turn pages if I use a ps2 pad.

It's probably operated by a button combination. Try L1/L2/R1/R2 + the left or right directional buton simultaneously, and if one of those four doesn't do the trick, try pressing all of the shoulder nuttons at once and use the left/right directional button.

Damn, I never saw the two replies above mine when I posted that... but glad to hear that you got it working anyway.

I'd dump the thing if I were you. Those types of cards are notorious for corrupting data or worse. At the very least don't save anything important on it.

Yep, easily demonstrated by having the PS1 enumerate what is on your memory cards and noticing that you no longer have a cursor to control. Same while deleting and copying.

I just wouldn't use it at all. Alzheimer's card is more apt.

I had one of these, but it was like a 4 page with buttons on the top to toggle pages; last three burnt out so its just a regular memory card now.

I hadn't seen a card yet that needs controller input to switch, nifty ^^

I've been the victim of these 3rd party memory cards, DON"T use them to save your big RPG savegames.. you'll cry :p

Yea, these 3rd party cards are rubbish. They become faulty after some extended use.

It is interesting because there was that floppy drive for the memory card slot.

Why does everybody say that these cards are universally bad, when, while the majority did indeed self-destruct at some point, there were some good ones. It was only the ones that used compressed memory that corrupted; the ones from Blaze and MadCatz with uncompressed memory worked perfectly fine.
