Hey everyone, I recently got a hold of a PSX DESR-7100 and, of course, it won't read any discs. It has a bunch of recorded content on it, which is pretty cool. In an attempt to salvage such a beautiful console, I set out to roll up my sleeves and dive into it. I had little to no knowledge about how to disassemble it and to replace the lens, more specifically, the Sony KWS-200A. I will admit, that sifting through this forum I was able to find out which lens I would need to replace, so for those that were able to provide that information, thank you. Since there are little to no videos anywhere on how to open one up and see what's inside, I decided to record my experience from start to finish. Here's the link to my PSX DESR-7100 Lens Replacement and Disassembly/Reassembly video series: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSQNwWNrpwaoN3gpV9bZSsdY40GUCmeUU Hope everyone enjoys the videos as much as I had fun making them.
You're welcome. I'm just glad I'm able to provide something back to the community, even if it's something as little as this.
