There are 2 generations of PSX DESRs: DESR-7000/DESR-5000/DESR-7100/DESR-5100 DESR-7500/DESR-5500/DESR-7700/DESR-5700 First generation. After researches I found that there can be at least 6 different firmware version. Firmware can be divided in three types: factory firmware, disc distribution, network distribution. Version 1.06 - factory firmware. Internal version number for all packages - 0.1. DESR-7000/DESR-5000 was released with this firmware on board. Internal name for factory release: Code: 1.06 Version 1.10 - was distributed with update disc and over network. Never seen 1.10 as factory firmware. Internal number for all packages - 0.2. Regarding modern DESR series - there was only 2 versions: Version 2.06 - was distributed as factory firmware. Internal number for package called "Version_0" - 0.64 . I found this firmware on DESR-5500 and DESR-5700. Firmware internal name Code: 2.06 Disk Release Version 2.10. I didn't touch that version. Maybe network release, maybe factory release. May be found on DESR-7700. Firmware internal name Code: 2.10 Disk Release Version 2.11 - was distributed as update disk.
