PSX DESR-x000 Bios

    The bios for the DESR-5000 and 7000 are identical in every way except for the NVM files and the labels:
    DESR-5000_BIOS_VX_JAP_180.BIN vs DESR-7000_BIOS_V12_JAP_180.BIN
    The password is: desr!

    It was dumped in 2008 by another member.
    It would be interesting to see if the other PSX units (x100, x500, x700) have the same bios or not...

    If the contents of the rom0: area for the DESR-5000 and DESR-7000 are the same, what about their EROM, rom1 and rom2 areas? Are they the same too?

    Looks very interesting! I've been reading about those models lately, but got no money to acquire one myself. :p

    I wonder if this BIOS is emulable? Perhaps on PCSX2?

    It's not. It crashes PCSX2.

    It's not a surprise though. The PSX has slightly different hardware, like the TOOL does when compared with the regular Playstation 2.
