psx SCPH 7001 - Laser adjustment

Hi, i recently got a Playstation SCPH 7001 as a gift, the machine works, but it needs a laser pot adjustment. Seems like the original owner was blind tweaking the pot, and didn't know what he was doing...results: the machine doesn't read discs.
I need (if someone knows), what are the right ohm value for that pot. Thanks in advance.

 

The adjustment has to be between 700 and 1300 Ohms, neither more nor less.
I hope that is not a lens dead after what the previous owner decided to move the laser pot.


If the adjustment of laser pot does not work, there's a few more things that can be done, like cleaning the reflector mirror or...




Replace the slide support with a new, if the original support is very worn.

yes, i've dissasembled the entire unit to check the slider, but it was fine. So i just cleaned the lens, adjusted the pot and it is working now.
