Does anyone have a rom backup of PSXAmp?

I've flashed it with Caetla 0.33 (newer version doesn't work on this cart) IN AR MODE and I've lost MP3 player functionality, after switching to MP3 MODE only [START] text appear (just like when booting CD in AR/Caetla).

Unfortunately I don't have that cartridge in mah collection, so I can't help you in restoring its original rom backup, sorry.
Just to let you know that in case you can't recover your PSXamp original software, perhaps a MP3 Smart-DJ rom backup is compatible with its hardware...
CCL MP3 Smart-DJ v2 (EEPROM Dump + Upgrade CD dumps + Low-res scans of the PCB)
The rom backup is "BIOSDUMP.ROM", in the 7z archive.

I bought one recently, and I dumped its ROM. It's an old 1.3c version sadly, does not have a cheat engine, and the interface is choppy during the playback.

    ROM dump : PSXAmp - MP3 Player 1.3c.rom
    PCB scan : PSXAMP_1.JPG

My Wayback Machine searches lead me to BIOS updates that were unfortunately not archived (psxamp.com.au, twocom.net...).
If anyone has any other BIOS version (especially the v1.8), please post it.

    Here's a X-Flash disc containing my 1.3c ROM. Reflash procedure below :

To make sure that there's no active Caetla hook, run the disc WITHOUT the PSXAmp. Plug the PSXAmp when you're into the very first menu.
Select 128 BPS + ROMFILE.GAP (the fourth option) to write the padded ROM.
Wipe the EEPROM by flashing "Zero-fill EEPROM", ignore the failure message (just press X to abord).
Go to the 98th ROM "PSXAmp - MP3 Player 1.3c" and flash it. Ignore the failure message if any.
Reboot, you should see the MP3 Player after the PS logo.

On a side note, yep the CCL BIOS isn't compatible with the PSXAmp MP3 decoder.

Yaaaaaay! Thank you! :) Btw are you sure that no AR functions are there? Even when switch on case is changed? (Originally mine have this).

    You are welcome.

Yeah, no AR functions in this version.
The EEPROM is 2M. The first bank is a payload + a PS-X executable (actually the MP3 Player software), and the second bank is a virtual memory card which contains the MP3 Player skins. There is no trace of a Caetla hack in the ROM :( .

Apparently, v1.4 doesn't have AR functions neither.
They possibly introduced it in the very latest version (1.8)...

Oh ok, but on the other hand good to have at least MP3 player is working :D (AR function was only Caetla FW clone, so i can use another cart for AR ;) )
