Hiho, I recently saw a few old pictures of one of my first pc cases which I adorned with a huge Psygnosis logo sticker. The case was a bigtower, and the sticker covered almost the entire side of it. They were given away at the Cebit Home 1995, one sticker page had several stickers (logos and text) on it, the other was just one huge logo (DinA1 or larger). What I'm searching for now is a high-res or better vector version of the old owl logo and/or text, since I'd like to replicate this, maybe as a huge car sticker for the back window or something like that. Sadly, the largest image I could find on the net was 1600x1200 and it looks a little retouched, too. Does anyone have any real-high-res images, maybe from an old press kit?
That logo brings back memories of hours and hours spent playing amazing Amiga & PSX games. Seeing that appear while the game loaded up was assurance you were about to play something memorable. Now, where did I put my time machine? 90s here I come!
@nocomply: Thanks, that was the one I meant as being a bit "soft". I don't know, it seems somehow filtered, the huge stickers were far more clear and detailed in print, especially the round "owl ball" part. Also, I think the shading on the owl with its wings spread wasn't that smooth at the edges, they were more defined, sharper. Still, this is probably one of my most favourite game company logos ever. Why do I mostly remember the logos of companies long gone? Thalion for example (Ambermoon, Amberstar, Lionheart), or the old Origin logo (complete with "we create worlds" tagline - fondly remembered) Anyone still remember the old first electronic arts logo?
Psygnosis had a great logo I like the old Sierra logo and intro as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPO5_e9rwBQ&feature=related & http://youtu.be/FEnp4hZm0ss
Great video, I had already forgotten that the Wipeout games were originally by Psygnosis. As well as the first F1 game on PS1 which was so impressive back then, it practically looked like a real race on TV...well, maybe not by today's standards  Krazy Ivan was crap though.
That's not high resolution - it's 72dpi. And the reason it doesn't look great is that it's scanned off a game box.
