Hi i have recently aquired two development Kits one that I have had working after finding the SDK which its the PsyQ Megadrive Mega CD Development kit.

Now the other one that I aquired is a PsyQ Megadrive 32X Development Kit which I got as a bonus!

My Question Is does anyone have Information or even a SDK for this item so I can expand my knowledge?

    Questions?

    1. Does this PsyQ 32X Development Kit use the same ISA interface card as the Megadrive Mega CD because I know the Saturn ISA interface is different?

    2. I'm asuming that the two kits don't use the same SDK and if so does anyone know were I can get it. (I've managed to find the right one for the PsyQ Megadrive Mega CD Development Kit) because I here the 32X development Kit Is better for Megadrive development and would like to use that!

    3. Does anyone have a PDF of the 32X Book if it exsisted?

I assume you just got these off ebay- good to know the arrived- the psx psy-q hardware I ordered (i assume from the same guy) seems lost/held up in the midst of royal mail and usps tracking confusion at the moment... I guess I'll just wait it out...

    Looks nice!

I bought the psy-q main card and the magical blue cartridge and funny looking development discs (paid way too much for the latter, but so far it's the only one i've ever seen in the wild) At this point, (assuming everything arrives) i need the psy-q isa scsi card to finish the set up - I guess you outbid me on that part :).

No clue on the snes kit... (HOLY @$#! that went for a lot!)

Duuuude, if those came with discs, PLEASE tell me if they have clean PDFs of the programmer manuals. Even if you can't upload them, just tell me if they exist so that I will know searching for them isn't a lost cause. (Now if you can upload for $ PM me, I might be able to get back to you with some cash this summer )

Are now talking about the PsyQ Playstation kit it came with versions 2.1 & 2.2E its what I was after in the first place along with the SNES but i'm happy with what I got payed alot less for both Megadrive and 32X kits!

defor I know that people on the forum have spare ISA cards I might ask could get lucky ;-)

    Questions?

    4. When I last used the Megadrive Kit I used a Megadrive power supply to test it. Is this the right voltage and if not what power supply should I use?

The official SDK for genesis and 32x is not very hard to find, and theres are several type of document...scan/html/hixed word doc....there won't be clean pdf at that time.Only saturn official sdk doc pressed in pdf.

But if you do wanna dev some game or app for this console.Use gnu toolchain on the internet....It's much easier with that than use the official devkit

    Sonic3D: Do I know you perchance from #retro -_-

Also, there are some things that haven't reached the public eye, but might in a few years. I have my fingers crossed for an official SMPS sdk like the GEMS one drx released a while back.

Unfortunately,it's not me I think.I only stay at several pre-chan by using bot and never use SONIC3D as the nick.

But you may perchance see me at nointro forum.Because collecting megadrive games and complement the undumped games is one of my hobby in spare time.

Or if you can read Chinese, maybe you have read some megadrive ASM guide written by me occasionally.

There is a rumor that the author of Kega Fusion have a disc full of detail document of this console and its extension like sega cd and sega 32x.But I think current leaked document and tools is really enough for analyzing, developping or translating gens and 32x games, even sega cd games. The only problem is time, patient and passion. The GEMS released by drx is really precious. But to understand the sound system coding, coding by myself is a step can not be skipped I think. And I prefer reversing the sound engine of redzone if I have enough time. Now I should finish a translating plan first for 32x game.Sound is not on the top of calendar.

Ah, No-Intro, perhaps you told me about the Linguaphone MegaCD =P. Anyways, I mainly want clean rips of the docs for: 1. Printing those grainy gifs is a bitch on my printer, and 2. Sega Retro, a site set up by the people of Sonic Retro, has a section set up for developer docs for Sega systems, and they would go nicely with the Katana and Saturn SGL/etc.. docs =P
