Recently Spent a hundred dollars for got one , the screen shows this Testing kit is expired.see Devkit/TestKit Activation User's Guide. Not registered Devnet, there are other ways to activate it? What is the difference between PTEL and PDEL hardware specifications? THX
Yeah your going to have to wait for a crack of cfw to bypass it completely. I think I did read somewhere that it's at least possible but i don't think any of thous tools are public right now... until then you could simply try reseting the date off the top of my head i can't remember if the difference between PTEL and PDEL is reagon or the difference between the dev kit and the test kit, ill check my documentation and get back to you on that
Oh man here we go If your system was never activated you cannot activate it. If it was then you will need to find someone who has the activation method. If you just want to use it and dont mind the red bar, then use Henkaku as it makes it irrelevant. If you activate it you cant use Henkaku. If you use both together you run into issues. Another thing PTEL - Testkit PDEL - Devkit (and visually it also has HDMI, Mini USB, front LEDs, etc) X00Y - X defines whether its fat (1) or slim (2). Y defines what region it's for (doesnt play a big role here really) Additionally a Testkit is far more restrictive, even with Henkaku, than a retail system which is unfortunate as it's the first time a development system variation is less desirable than the retail side. You may as well get a Devkit and skip Testkit, or go the PSTV/Retail route. @fate6 help
The activating the retail vitas to log into psn is different then the time lock out of the dev and test kit ps vita... I don't think henkaku will work for this but if it's on fw 3.60 your welcome to try but I wouldn't put enso on it... and I find the test kits quite handy I can never find the stupid vita usb cable and hdmi out would be nice(wish i had a vita dev kit but yeah I don't )
I've used Henkaku on my kit before it was sold and the new owner also uses it. It works fine but you will run into conflicts if you do things weirdly
What pix said. Henkaku will activate just about every function but enso wont work as it has some vs0 checks that wont pass. As for actually activating it then you would need someone that knows the hax but aint no one talking. Just use Henkaku + the offline installer email thing. PTEL are pointless IMHO since retails do everything it can plus more :/
By the way another question,PSP and PS3 dev/test kit need to be activated regularly? What is the difference between PSV dev/test kit and retail ver hardware specifications?
As far as I am aware no, Sony only started doing this activation BS with the PS Vita and the PS4 to "prevent" dev kits from getting out into the wiled and if they do they would be usless... well that was the idea but really it's just a pain in the ass for legit devs that have to deal with this activation BS now I am unsure of the specific differences between the dev kits and the test kits for the vita I have docs on it at home but i'm not home right now so I cant look it up sorry
The PSP and PS3 do not require activation of any kind, Only the Vita and PS4 do. PTEL are afaik exactly the same other then the firmware since its made to run debug code to ya know test games, PDEL are very different tho with both a different mobo and a second board that has the communications processor which lets the Dev PC interact with the system. Plus it needs a PSU at all times since it doesn't have an internal battery.
