Well, PS I, II, and IV were planned from the get-go ... they just took their time. And yes, PS1 has a remake, but it's not "3d" to be honest... only the dungeons. Can't wait for this one though.
Unless it's all in Hiragana, and consisting entirely of the "U" ending characters, I won't be able to read whats going on... Anyone know anything about PSO: Universe? (sorry to highjack the thread)
From the screenshots, and judging by PS1, it's going to be intermediate Japanese. Quite a few kanji, and some not-so-easy vocabulary. There's definitely harder Japanese out there, but you'll have problems if you're a hiragana-only person. I don't think ST is letting any info out about PSU... they've only made one freaking CG movie for it and that's about it. My guess is that it'll be straight to PC or on a Next Gen console. Earliest it'd be out is Summer but more likely 4th quarter, and just wouldn't seem right w/ PS3 just around the corner. Who knows though.
Grab a dictionary, learn how to do radical lookups, and grab the utility from the second to the top news post off my page: http://topping.zophar.net/news.htm and start quizzing yourself. Then go ahead and try reading some stuff in games and look up the words you find. The only trouble your going to have is te form (quite common), and learning how to make verbs short form, but thats not hard considering most verbs are at the end of the sentence.

Yes, but it will not be out then (obviously) as they've not even started PSIV, and they're probably still putting touches on PSII.
