Customs Game Boy Color lens -- support the project I really like Luigi's Mansion and I recently purchased a Gameboy Color with a scratched lens. I want a replacement, but not a standard one. I don't want to to say Gameboy Color. I want it to say: SUPPORT THE PROJECT HERE: Please! http://en.fansnextdoor.com/projects/turn-your-game-boy-color-game-boy-horror-luigis-ma Help me get these made.
probably could find sticker paper and print that font on it the sticky it haha. i bet if you can find a custom case retailer, they will do it.
Get it made in glass, will cost you a lot less and a good glassmaker can produce something as light and as strong as plastic. I used to get glass screens made for my GP32. Cost about £20, adding a colour logo wouldn't be much more.
A lot can happen in a day. I was on a quest for one, but it looks like I might have to order more and sell them. I contacted the owner of a store that sells normal GBC screens and asked about producing GBH screens. I can get 600, but it must use the same colors the real GBC logo. I can get 3000 and use my custom colors. Is there enough support to warrant a 600-1800USD expense? Here is what the cheap screens would look like:
That's a serious amount of cash for the sake of a novelty screen. Cool but pricey. I can't imagine there'd be a market for that many if you bought in bulk, although Ninty fans do lap up stuff like this from time to time so who knows.
Well, a shop has offer to go in on the cost with me. They would buy 200 ish at the wholesale price. This would leave me with $400 to cover for 400 screens. I'm going to submit a project to kickstarter.com I will keep you guys updated, if you are interested.
Not to be rude, but what could possibly not make sense? It's just a nod to the greatest game of all time. Did you own a PS2, by any chance? That would explain your confusion.
Ah. Trying make a fanboy argument towards me eh? The context of putting "Horror" In place of "color" for a game that isn't even on that system just doesn't quite make sense. I can understand replacing scratched screen lenses. But it'd make more sense if you making a mod for a gamecube and doing something like this. With that said, I have nothing wrong with you doing this;by all means whatever makes you happy; i'm just asking questions because I don't understand is all. And just FYI, I've owned 10+ Gameboy's in my life including, 3 colors. So it's not like I have never played A gameboy/gamecube/luigi's mansion.
oh is it? I guess it is after looking it up. I haven't played Luigi's mansion since it came out. So excuse my bad memory.
Alas. I have hit a dead end. Now I know how App developers feel. It's not fun to be rejected without a specific reason given.
