It should have firmware on it, but not all firmware allow backups to be played. Update needed for that! Haven't worked with the SX have a Pro but was already installed in Gamecube I purchased . http://www.eurasia.nu/mirrors/www.qoobchip.com/qoob_sx.html
HI KaosEngineer, Thanks for the reply.. Can you point me in the right direction for the firmware yo speak of . It is my understanding that QOOB will not provide firmware updates that will play back ups .. I'm new to mod chips of this type.. Also it says that I need to upgrade via Disk or GameCube modem the SX has no usb and I dont think the modems work now.. So any help with a upgrade disk would be awesome..
Look to the site that is hosting the backup copy of the qoobchip.com pages. http://<hosting site>/mirrors/qoob... download section. Search for Qoob SX. I've not used the, GCoS, software but the 1.3c's further down the page. I think the archive files have instructions on how to do the upgrades. On my GameCube, I have the BBA (broadband adapter) and update it over a network connection. The BBA allows you to connect your gamecube to an Ethernet network. (10/100Mbps)
Ok so I will need update can someone post a link so I can burn to disk to upgrade to bios 1.3 on the SX ? Is this all I need to play backups of my games ?? Any help will be very appreciated ! : )
I thought these 3 clues would be enough to find the software you'd need. And here's the hosting address of the backup qoobchip.com web pages: And, this is the software you need: Tried not to make it too cryptic.
modrobert Do you have the New User Password for that site ?I have to be logged in to download that file, Can't seem to get anyone to give up the NUP PM me if you can help with that.. : ) Oh and Kaos allot of things seem cryptic when you're Autistic Thanks for trying to help.. : )

No prOcessOr I see the file needs to be compressed... Now I see how all this works now with WinRAR Thanks, Kaos ... My first console was a 1977 Heavy Sixer so I don't have the experience with Computers and Modern Game Systems that many of you grew up with , I can set the time on your VCR .. but I'm trying.. : )
