exact, it uses the same engine as doom 3. the game is sheduled to 2006 (for now). the storie will continue where it left in quake 2, but now, you won't be alone anymore. team mates will hepl you by time to timein your quest. ID work hard to make the online part of the game as good and as complete as quake 3. If doom 3 was horror oriented, quake 4 will be action oriented. that's all the info i got.

Looks fine, but it needs a bit more gloss to it to be on par with Doom 3 (Graphically)

As long as it has a 1P w/ a story, I"ll buy it. "Arena" style is fun for like 20 minutes at a time... then I just lose interest.

 

like i said earlier, the game will be both single player and multiplayer. every screen show below are from the single player game. in some parts of the game, you'll have team mates helping you.

And yes, as others have confirmed, Quake 4 will use the Doom 3 engine, although if I recall right, it is not being developed by id, but by Raven Games (Heretic, Hexen.)
