hey there fellas, i wanted to drop this question here for some time now, as i am quite sure other board members might have seeked a solution to this problem as well. I am looking for a scart switcher for my gaming setup (dreamcast, ps2, megadrive) and i was looking for something that can preserve image quality possible without breaking the bank. any suggestions are welcome
I have one of these, 15€ on ebay: Absolutely no loss in quality, transmits RGB, seperate sound output, RGB on/off switch ect. Some models can't RGB (or not all inputs can) and are also commonly sold in shops, even expensive ones, so be careful. I used to have a couple of Joytech AV Control Centre 2s and I thought they were really good. That model has been discontinued though and replaced by the 245C. It looks totally identical from the front but all the Scart inputs have been replaced with Component. They still do the standard AV Control Centre, but it only has four inputs and lacks the funky LCD.
