Do you need the monitor that comes with it or can any monitor work? Let me know, this would help me out in a rather expensive decision.

    Well...

People know what the FM Towns computers are...thanks to ASSEMbler's pages on them...but we in general don't know anywhere near enough about them to tell you anything useful...anything we would say is speculation...

    ...Speculation time!

Well, At the very least, we know that the later FM Towns computers ran Windows 3...So...I imagine that their architecture is similar to a PC...which would make it somewhat likely that it would use VGA...

Could you just ask whether or not there is a VGA slot on it?

Depending on how old your fujitsu pc is , it's either
CGA, VGA, last models the SVGA models are not bad.

That's a 15 inch monitor days, so probably 16 million colors, you should be able to get a normal monitor to work, but you might need an old analog vga screen.
