Not sure if this has been asked before(if so, PM me and delete the thread, mods) but can it or has it been modified to load roms, demos etc. onto the memory carts?
Part of me wants to justify buying one, so....

i dont think theres a way to upload stuff to satellaview carts. If there was one, the value of rare games like radical dreamers would probably drop like a rock.

Why not just get a regular Super Famicom and use the memory cartridge for that, the one Nintendo used to sell games via download? Do the games have to be put on a Satellaview cart?

It's probably possible to write to the carts somehow, but the roms dumps of BS games have already been hacked/modified so who knows if it would work on real hardware anymore. In my opinion there is no reason for a gamer to have a Satellaview. The only reasons to have one are if you are a collector or techy looking to emulate or develop something related to it. As a gamer, there's just no point.

    Yeah.
It is kinda pointless, but it's just plain NEAT.
There's really not much of a reason to get a Sega/Mega CD. Put the CD in your drive and play the game.
    WHy do I want one?
    They're NEAT.

People still mod systems/tvs for RGB output/input in the age of near perfect emulation.
    Why?
We're crazy and think it's just plain neat!

I don't disagree that they are neat and collectible. If I had all the money and space required I would own every piece of gaming history I could get my hands on.

I plan on moving to Japan and settling down, starting a family.
I think whoever my future wife is, she'll snap from all the awesome kit I could ge there.
