Ok I have 2 copies of the same game here.. They are from my personal Collection. The game in question is Super Mario All Stars. Both games look the same on the outside But the PCB's are really Diff... I would have thought it being the same game that it would have the same pcb and chip setup... Here is a Pic of the PCB's Sorry for the crappy pics .. My phone sucks. I don't really know much about the diff Chips and stuff on cartridge based games. And I wanted to get some help on this......I have also Looked up the diff version pcb's there was for this game.. And the larger pcb I have that version was not listed.. And I just wanted to see if I could get some more info on this.. Thanks to everything for any help you can give. Board 1 has 4 chips board version SHVC-1A3B-20 tc5316003bp lc3564ql-10n d411a mb74ls139 Board 2 has 5 chips and this is the one that I cant find the version of. Board Version SHVC-2A3M-01 km23c8001b sns-4m-0-p0 km23c8001b sns-4m-0-p1 hy6264ap-10ll d411a mad-1 bu2230 I have tested these games they are both the same game. Both boards have the Nintendo trademark, How can these be the same game, made in the same year, but look so different... Thanks again for any help.
Can you please take a photo of the other side so we can actually see the chips : ) The game is 16 MBit, the km23c8001b has a capacity of 8 MBit so that explains why there are two Mask ROMs, maybe there was a shortage of the other type of chips? in which case they had to use a board with two Mask ROMs SHVC-1A3B U1 Mask ROM U2 64K SRAM U3 74LS139 U4 CIC SHVC-2A3M U1 Mask ROM P0 U2 Mask ROM P1 U3 64K SRAM U4 MAD-1 U5 CIC
