Hello, I was wondering if retailers will continue to receive new shipment of Everdrive64 and Super Everdrive. Sadly, almost all retailers are back-order on these products for months. (Maybe I am just unlucky when I look for those.) One of the retailer have some Everdrive64 in stock but the price is extremly high. Should I start panic that I might not get a hold of one of those or new shipment are coming ? Thank you
It's just that when they get stock it quickly sells out. Until demand starts going down it will remain that way. Production is limited, it is not assembled in a factory or anything like that.
They sell out quick. We continue to get more in almost every week, but they normally sellout within a day or two. KRIKzz has no plans to stop making them, in fact he said he is trying to get more people to help him make them so he is hoping to double productivity soon.
I just bought Everdrive64 and Super Everdrive from retrogate. They may still have some in stock. What I did was keep their page as a starting page on my browser. Every time I opened it up, I would see if they were in stock. edit**** As of this minute, retrogate appears to have more in stock.
so you bought a Super ED without DSP1 ? Are you going to solder one in yourself ? AFAIK without it it's not possible to play e.g. Super Mario Kart :crying:
There are very few DSP1 games. Most people shouldn't miss it. Afterall you should OWN a Super Mario Kart cartridge already.
Surely you can buy one cart? I've bought most of the Super FX games and the DSP games i want as well as all of the regular games i play them most. I use the everdrive mainly to find other games i want to buy or to play games which are too expensive to buy or are hard to get.
The one instance I can see why you'd want to play Super Mario Kart on the SED is for the hacks that have new racing courses/levels. But if you aren't interested in that then there isn't much point.
That's what I did, play the good DSP1 and SuperFX games from carts I've bought/owned for years, and the Everdrive to play stuff that's either rare or completely un-available in Australia! My primary reason was actually to get Earthbound playing on a real SNES, in my case that was a bit harder than normal as Australia is a PAL region and Earthbound was never actually released in a PAL format! Little bit of romhacking and it works perfectly on PAL systems
I do own a copy of SMK since more than 15 years just FYI. I feel my question was legit to ask. If you don't have anything to contribute feel free to move along, thank you.
Bump. I've been looking at kitsch-bent and retrogate all week (literally refreshing their pages every 20 minutes while I'm at work) and nothing! Anyone have a time frame for this?
It took me 2 months to get one through retrogate. The just sell out to quickly. Just order as soon as they become available or preorder from one of the other stores. Good things do come eventually )my Supereverdrive with DSP arrived yesterday - yeah;-))
I can also confirm they sell out quickly. Usually, when I get a new shipment, I have so many preorders that they will rarely appear in stock in my shop. I guess it's similar for the other shops. It's amazing how many users worldwide still want to play on the original old hardware
