Is it possible to replace the V64's CD drive with a DVD drive? Does it use an IDE or SCSI interface?

    How about the CD64?

They both use the ATAPI IDE interface and cannot be replaced with a DVD drive unfortunately. (People have tried this many times.)

Edit: although if you are a 6502 guru, you might be able to hack in support somehow to the V64 because the V64 hardware itself is not N64 dependant.

Hmm, maybe I'll give it a go... don't suppose there are any schematics or other tech documents for the unit around, are there?

Might have to get myself a spare V64 to try it on! Hmm, would be cool to get this working!!
