Well my game came in the mail to me today, :) this is the one from the UK that cost me about 21.00 (USD) in shipping :angry Vampire Savor with 4mb cart.

Now after two pages of replys on why this could be , the cost of shipping that is , the most popular answer was ( the value of the dollar )

Drum roll please :smt1062 My fellow american einbebop44 hit the nail right on the head :smt045

    THE BITCH RIPPED ME OFF

Postage for the Royal Mail - Air Mail was about 6 (USD)

    Got to love ebay :angry

Was it insured and tracked or just plain standard air-mail?

I sent something to US & Canada recently (guys/girls can confirm this) and don`t think it was near that...but was box standard basic postage.

Think it was about £7-8......$15-16ish....so $20 for fees and packaging

You can't post a saturn game and a cart to the US for £3 (6USD). It'll have been about £4.60 (10USD). And relax man, EVERYONE rips you off in postage. Except me that is ;-)

    Haha

Haha, that's true but you try having a full time job and posting 150 parcels a week ;-)

How desperate can some one be to get a Sega Rally?

    ;-)

No, seriously, sorry about that - it's just sometimes we get bogged down with loads of stuff. Hope my mate wasn't rude to you.

It was just standard air mail, not insured.

I have the bag and the postage was £2.99 and if it was sent EMS I could understand this.

As for being ripped of in shipping, a buck here and there is one thing but this was just BS.

£2.99 is just standard airmail for something 280g. He/She should have added Airsure which costs £4 more but makes sure it goes out on the next flight & can be tracked.

Hmmm... wonder what flavour of feedback you should leave ;)

    Moments past.

Here is some of the feedback I've left for others:

Perfect item - WAY overcharged shipping!!! $5 for $0.92 - tried to charge $8! cartoonp (no longer a registered user)

FFVIII NOT as described - VERY poor condition discs + NOT original case!!! 68mustangconv (Claimed it was mint and even had a picture of the item that looked great [probably stolen from another auction])

Fast shipping, POOR handling ~ Item arrived crushed/creased!
Follow-up by krelianstudios: Charged $6 for $1.29 shipping! Didn't pay $4.50 for BAD handling! egamestar

Fast payment, easy transaction! A+ Buyer!
Reply by fetish4minx: Super Duper seller! HERE NEXT DAY! Good Job!
(Turns out she lived only a 10 minute drive from me... :smt042 )

I guess you just got a game and cart chucked in a Jiffy bag sent as a letter, which most post offices let you get away with. Maybe he charged you what it should have been, and when he got to the Post Office they said oh you can send this lettermail (which is cheaper). I've had that before.

I had worse. Seller in France quoted me 9 Euros for 2 games, insured. I only won 1, and it was 3 Euros. So I sent off 12 euros, cash (12 1 euro coins). I asked him to return any leftover change with the game.

The game arrived, chucked in a Jiffy bag with what looks like printer toner all over the bottom of the inside, hence it got on the game. The envelope said 2,65 Euros and there was NO change in the parcel. I was not happy!!!

Yea that is just what it was and you are no dout right. I know people are thinking I am making way to much out of it and I should just suck it up, but hell I ship out a lot of games and I will always insure them without the request of the buyer and cover the cost myself and if my shipping charge is over what I list by error and I do not care even if its a dollar or less I will refund the difference to them.

Ebay is no different then pulling an arm on a slot machine anymore, its not enough anymore that a person has great feedback like this girl has, this is now the second time I have been screwed from someone with well over a couple of hundred great feedbacks and buyer protection.

When they get to me for some reason they go sour :smt042

If you paid by paypal, you can report him to both paypal and ebay and then take pictures as proof that he overcharged you for shipping. It can seriously end up affecting his paypal account and he may just fold and pay yo the money you are rightfully due.Go the whole way my friend, and get your cash back, I certainly would. If you need any help, let me know.

Does the bitch stay near Edinburgh???I could send a few of the boys round for your cash!!Hehe :smt067

    Aesthetics

From a purely visual standpoint yes I do actually...
But the reality of it, the bitter cold wind, the shoveling your driveway for a half-hour EVERY morning for two or more months, no, never.
