Hey guys, I remember the last time I was in Japan Trader I and II (and i think one softsale store) were always buying "Imports" - meaning US and European games. They had those price lists laying around with the current prices they are buying those import games at. Do they still do that? If so does anyone currently there have a list laying around? I would appreciate knowing the prices they currently buy stuff at before going again. My last list is from December 2004, so its a bit outdated
http://www.e-trader.jp/ They use frames so posting direct links is a hassle. Do this: In the menu on the left under 買取価格情報 click on TVゲーム and then on 買取価格表 for a list of systems. Scroll down to the end of each list to find the prices for Import games.
what a cutthroating! PC Engine: 妖怪道中記 GOLD Ver.50000 スーパーリアル麻雀PIVカスタム すぺしゃる50000 スーパーリアル麻雀PII・PIIIカスタム すぺしゃる50000 those ones cost in minimum 4 times the price. even the overpriced potato pays you 100'000 for the gold yokai.
btw. concerning oversea stuff aquisitions, check the specific list here, with the (海外版) marks: http://www.e-trader.jp/home/kaitori/cs/cs_etc.htm
do japanese collectors care much about western releases anyways? off the top of my head i can definetly see the probotector series having a pretty big appeal to japanese gamers?
Those offers are a punch in the face just like they are for japanese games sellers. 4000JPY for a boxed R²? 15000 for an SD Gundam Dimension War? That will never work out, I can't imagine theres any owner of such a rare game who wouldn't discover the high Potato & co prices before selling it to Trader for a cup of sugar.
