Just got a Xbox Debut Kit slapped in my lap. I'm currently waiting for what "hopefully" contains the neighborhood software and such, but I'm curious about retail game loading. Memory (and a little bit of failed searching) seems to indicate there's an app or method to load retail games on a Debut Kit. Anyone able to give me a few quick pointers on how I evt. could load a retail game? (Is the only way something like to evt. extract data from the disc first, to then rebuild it and play?) The system has the XDK Launcher v5849 (latest/final/whatever) w/some audio app and a regular dashboard.
XBOX Debug Let me know if your source falls through on the pc side software/recovery discs. Also let me know if you still need "Retail Game Loader" as that is the easiest way to load retail code.
Pikkon: Thanks. I assume I just put this in a subfolder something on the main system partition of the HDD as soon as I've got neighborhood up and running, right? (and then it'll appear on my XDK loader) Suppose I'll know as soon as Neighborhood's up and running and I've got HDD access kholdfuzion: Thanks for the offer, at the moment, I'm getting it from the world's slowest source. So unless you know of a source that isn't totally speed gimped and doesn't mind, I would really appreciate it
Yes just do that than launch it from the xdk dash,or you could use Avalaunch to gain ftp access and transfer the files from there.
Guess that would still require me to have HDD access, so then I need to wait for neighborhood anyway. Unless I can boot Avalaunch (dashboard?) from a cd or DVD ?
