  1. Hey all,

I am looking for a pretty general answer, so dont pine over the fine details.

While I have been a video game collector, my collection is one that is used. I don't keep boxes. I dont generally keep manuals. I have bought games from funcoland that looked like they were used to unclog a toilet... so long as it worked, I didnt care.

Anyway, I am looking to sell my collection in an attempt to score some spending cash. This isnt something most real "collectors" would want, but what I am asking is "What would you pay for this if it was sitting in a game store and yuo had to buy the whole lot?". Here is roughtly what I have:

    - Sega Master System (Hang on built in), Controller, Adapter & RF switch, and 10 games
    - Sega Genesis (last retail version), 2 Controllers, Adapter & RF switch, and 7 games (including the ubiquitous sonic games)
    - Playstation, big memory card, 2 controllers, power cord & composite cables, and 8 games
    - Super Nintendo, 4 controllers, Adapter & RF switch, and 20 games
    - Virtual Boy, Wall Adapter, Battery Adapter, controller, and 7 games
    - Nintendo 64, power and tv cables, 3 controllers, memory expansion, 2 memory cards, and 20 games
    - Dreamcast, replaced shell (green translucent due to original door breaking), 2 controllers, power and tv cables, and 5 games
    - 7 Gamecube games
    - 30 NES games

    Thanks for your input.

The details are in the games my friend. Hard to say really. Here's what i would say:

    Master system $10
    Genesis $15
    PS1 $15
    SNES $15
    VB $25
N64 $15-20 (depends on location. The price tends to be a bit reigonal)
    Dreamcast $25

This is without including the games. That depends on the game, sports games aren't worth the plastic they are printed on, RPG's are a liscense to print money.

Wow, an unboxed vB alone goes for over £80 (~180$) over here in GameStation, although they are generally expensive...

Heh, just because it wasn't released in Europe doesn't mean it still isn't craptacular...

Nintendo of Europe actually did the continent a favor by not releasing it domestically.

Wow, seems odd to be referred to by my "Real" name here!

If you can't be arsed to sell it on eBay I'd be willing to take it off your hands if I have the money when you sell it, and I'd probably pay more than the going rate in the states.

About the best thing they've done in the last 15years, but it doesn't stop me wanting one!
